Steep vs Day One: which daily reflection app fits?
We make Steep. The better fit depends on what someone wants to make room for each day.
The daily practice
Steep offers one thought a day. Steep saves it and Pour lets it go. There are no streaks. A kept thought can lead into Pull the thread, a Premium feature with up to three reflections saved as they are revealed.
Day One may suit someone who wants a lasting record with photos, audio and search. Writing is open-ended, with optional daily prompts. It also tracks streaks. Basic is free; Silver is $49.99 a year and Gold $74.99 a year, in USD. Gold adds AI reflection features. Sync and web access require an account.
